Tom Brady, Bucs edge Dak Prescott, Cowboys in season opener

Tom Brady threw for four touchdowns and led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on a game-winning drive for a season-opening 31-29 win against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday.

Brady, 44, passed for 379 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions, which included leading Tampa Bay 57 yards in 90 seconds to set up a 36-yard game-winning field goal by Ryan Succop.

In his first game since a season-ending ankle fracture in 2020, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott threw for 403 yards and three touchdowns. On an off night for the Cowboys’ running game (60 yards), Prescott was 42 of 58, connecting with Amari Cooper 13 times for 139 yards receiving and two touchdowns.

Antonio Brown led the Bucs with 121 yards receiving and a touchdown, and Rob Gronkowski added two touchdowns receiving.
