At CES-2022, Asus brought what it dubbed “the first foldable 17-inch OLED laptop in history.” In fact the diagonal of the laptop is even a little more – 17.3 inches, and the maximum resolution is 2560×1920. The screen shows a response time of 0.2 ms, has a brightness of 500 nits and contrast ratio of 1 000 000:1 and supports Dolby Vision HDR.

When folded, it splits into two 12.5-inch displays with 1920×1280 resolution and a 3:2 aspect ratio. On the bottom you can display a virtual keyboard and use the gadget as a small laptop in a classic format. But there is an opportunity to use both halves of the display to display a picture, which moves smoothly from one part to another.

The stuffing consists of a 12th generation Intel Core i7 chip, with Intel Iris X graphics. On board there is 16 GB of RAM type LPDDR5 and a hard drive of 1 Tb. The external interfaces are ports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, two Thunderbolt 4 connectors and a 3.5mm combo jack for an external microphone or headphones. The 5 MP webcam is equipped with noise-canceling technology and the capacity of the built-in battery is 75Wh.

Other interesting features of the device include automatic brightness and color temperature adjustment of the screen. There is an infrared camera to access the Windows Hello service, and specifically for this model Harman Kardon certified audio system of 4 speakers with Dolby Atmos. Zenbook will not start selling until the middle of the year, the price of the devices is still unknown.
