Join Nnamdi Kanu's case against Nigeria, IPOB American lawyer writes US

American lawyer, Bruce Fein, has requested the United States of America to join the ongoing case between the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, and the Nigerian Government.

He made the request in a letter addressed to the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs, Elizabeth Truss, where he complained about the arbitrary detention of Nnamdi Kanu by the Nigerian Government.

“One option would be to file an amicus curiae brief with the court presiding over Kanu’s pending prosecution. Another would be to protest Nigeria’s violation of the United Kingdom’s rights under Article 36 of the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations,” he wrote.
