Bello-Koko welcomes first ship to berth at Lekki Deep Sea Port

The managing director, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Mr. Mohammed Bello-Koko, on Friday received the first vessel to berth at the Lekki Deep Seaport which is expected to commence full scale operations by September this year.

The ship, a Heavy Lift Carrier named ZHEN HUA 28 owned by Shanghai Zhenhua Port Machinery in Hong Kong, brought three state-of-the art Ship to Shore (STS) Cranes and ten (10) Rubber Tyred Gantries (RTG).

The ship, which berth at the quay of the Lekki Deep Seaport at exactly 1:29:00pm, was received by elated Bello-Koko, members of the team, management of the LDSP, and others who had departed the Shanghai port in China for Nigeria.
