History as an academic subject has once again found its way back into the curriculum of primary and junior secondary schools in Lagos State courtesy of the latest directive issued by the state government.

According to a statement from the state ministry of education on Saturday, August 13, History is an elective subject at the Senior Secondary school level.

The change, according to the statement, is in line with the directives from the Nigerian Education Research and Development Council (NERDC).
