Nigerians in the diaspora have raised concerns over the current investment climate in the country, urging President Bola Tinubu to address issues that hinder growth. In a letter to the president, the group highlighted the negative impact of recent actions, such as the demolition of businesses, on the investment environment.

One key case involved Winhomes Global Services Limited, which invested over $250 million in real estate in Okun Ajah, Lagos State. The company’s development was demolished by the government under the claim that it interfered with marine cables. However, the group disputes the explanation, asserting that the cables are located underwater, not on land.

Rev. Emmanuel Olorunmagba, the group’s representative in Nigeria, emphasized that such actions could discourage future investments. He also warned of planned protests in the U.S., Canada, and Europe if their concerns are not addressed promptly by the Nigerian government.
