The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed allegations from opposition figures, including Atiku and Obi, accusing the party of interfering in opposition affairs. APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka described these accusations as ‘pitiful’ and ‘an incompetent alibi’ for the opposition’s internal challenges.

As Nigeria approaches the 2027 general elections, significant political realignments are underway. Notably, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party’s Peter Obi are reportedly in discussions to join the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

Prince Adewole Adebayo, the SDP’s 2023 presidential candidate, confirmed these talks, stating, “People are joining my party, and we are welcoming them. All these people you have mentioned—El-Rufai, Atiku Abubakar, and even former Governor Peter Obi—are coming.”
