A hotelier in the Oke-Agunla area of Odigbo Local Government Area, Ondo State, was reportedly killed by suspected gunmen on Sunday night. The assailants allegedly stormed the premises of the hotel and shot the victim in cold blood.
Eyewitnesses said the attackers arrived suddenly and opened fire without provocation. “The gunmen came in and shot him without saying anything,” a resident recounted.
The motive behind the killing remains unclear, but locals believe it may be linked to ongoing security concerns in the region. The identity of the deceased has not been officially released, but community members described him as a well-known businessman in the area.
