“I attend Celestial church. I am a bonafide member of the celestial church. A proud one. In fact, I built a church. I sought different religions while trying to know God in both popular religions. There’s nowhere I didn’t try to find God.”
Nigerian music icon Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, has revealed his deep connection to the Celestial Church of Christ, even as a practicing Muslim.
In an interview with Agbaletu TV, the Fuji legend stated, “I attend Celestial church. I am a bonafide member… I built a church.” Ayinde explained that his spiritual journey led him to explore both Islam and Christianity, proudly embracing his dual religious experiences. The singer, known for his devotion to Islam, surprised many by disclosing he constructed a Celestial parish, whose members worship barefoot in white garments.
This revelation follows recent controversy over his viral “Ganusi” comment about Islamic clerics, which drew criticism but saw Ayinde stand firm. His candid remarks highlight a unique interfaith perspective, celebrating his quest to “know God” across religions without regret.
