Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice is confident the club can overturn their 1-0 deficit to Paris Saint-Germain and reach the Champions League final.
Speaking ahead of Wednesday’s semi-final second leg in Paris, Rice said: “We obviously know we’re 1-0 down but we have full belief, full positivity that we’re going to go out there and win tomorrow night.”
He believes winning their first major trophy will spark a series of successes for the Gunners. “To get over the line, you have to win that first one,” he said.
Rice also downplayed a viral quote attributed to him before the first leg, saying, “I actually didn’t say that.”
Reflecting on the first leg, Rice admitted PSG’s early goal unsettled Arsenal but praised his side’s response. “Once we started keeping the ball, we created chances,” he said. “Hopefully, we can achieve something really special.”
