Two men have been arrested by operatives of the Isokoko Division of the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly vandalising concrete roadside barriers in the Ile-Zik area.
The suspects, Peter James, 26, and Lesipi Adamu, 24, were apprehended on April 22, 2025, after the police acted on credible information from concerned residents. They were reportedly caught extracting iron rods from the barriers.

Police said investigations are ongoing to apprehend fleeing accomplices. The duo has since been arraigned for conspiracy, theft, and willful destruction of public infrastructure.
Commissioner of Police Olohundare Jimoh described the act as “a grave threat to community safety and the integrity of urban infrastructure.”
