Dangote Refinery slashes petrol price again

The latest adjustment is targeted at giving customers more value, as well as consolidating its leadership position in the domestic market.

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a further reduction in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from N835 to N825 per litre, marking the second price cut in recent weeks. This comes after the refinery previously lowered prices from N865 to N835 per litre last month as it intensifies competition in Nigeria’s fuel market.

The 650,000 barrels-per-day facility stated the latest adjustment aims to provide better value for customers while strengthening its market position. Industry analysts view the price reductions as part of Dangote’s strategy to establish dominance in Nigeria’s downstream petroleum sector.

The refinery’s pricing moves come as Nigeria works to stabilize fuel supplies and pricing following years of import dependence. Market observers anticipate further price adjustments as Dangote ramps up production and competes with traditional fuel importers.
