“We think we’ve identified who the staffers are… If they decline, they will receive a subpoena and face a full-blown deposition,” said Rep. James Comer.

House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer has said staffers responsible for using President Joe Biden’s autopen during a time of “mental decline” have been identified. In an interview with Fox News’ Jason Chaffetz, Comer said the committee’s investigation revealed that multiple pardons and executive orders were signed without Biden’s direct involvement.
“We think we’ve identified who the staffers are,” Comer stated. “If they decline to appear voluntarily, they will receive subpoenas.”
The controversy erupted after former President Donald Trump claimed Biden was unaware of pardons issued in his name, describing the acts as “VOID.” Comer added that some executive orders now challenged in court were also signed via autopen.
The Oversight Project has linked Biden’s staff secretary, Neera Tanden, to the pardons signed while Biden was vacationing. “You were White House Staff Secretary when Biden autopenned pardons from the golf course in USVI,” the group said in a tweet.
The committee is preparing transcribed interviews and depositions in the coming weeks.
