“There’s no evidence that when he got his health status and the medical records were released that he had a prostate-specific antigen,”
A leading cancer expert who advised President Biden has raised serious concerns about the late detection of Biden’s aggressive prostate cancer, suggesting the disease may have gone unnoticed for up to a decade.
Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, a former member of Biden’s transition team, told MSNBC’s Morning Joe, “He’s had this for many years, maybe even a decade, growing there and spreading.” The comment left hosts visibly stunned.
Emanuel added, “There’s no evidence that when he got his health status and the medical records were released that he had a prostate-specific antigen,” referring to the routine PSA test often used to screen for prostate issues.
Doctors discovered a small nodule earlier this month, and the cancer—now spread to the bone—was graded a Gleason score of 9, indicating a highly aggressive form.
“It is a little surprising that the doctor didn’t take [the test]. And if he took it and didn’t report it… that is another case of doctors not being straightforward with us,” Emanuel said.
