Concerns about President Donald Trump’s health resurfaced after recent G7 summit photos showed apparent discoloration and puffiness in his right hand.
The 79-year-old left the Kananaskis, Canada meeting early, prompting online speculation, especially amid heightened Israel-Iran tensions.
Photos showed what appeared to be makeup covering the discolored area. “What’s up with Trump’s hands???” one social media user asked. Another remarked, “Holy crap. That is some major [oedema] in Trump’s right hand.”
A White House official previously attributed similar bruising to Trump’s frequent handshakes. However, some speculated it could be from IV use or dehydration.
Dr. Jeff Foster said, “The most likely thought is this could well be bruising from a recent canula… we bruise much more easily” as we age. Dr. Ross Perry added, “It is entirely natural that our skin bruises far quicker… when we are almost 80,” suggesting sun exposure or medications might be contributing factors.
