Did the U.S. get outplayed? Iran says uranium was moved ahead of strike

The United States launched coordinated airstrikes late Sunday on Iran’s key nuclear sites—Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan—in what President Donald Trump called a “very successful operation” to cripple Iran’s enrichment infrastructure.

“All aircraft are now out of Iranian airspace… There is no other military in the world that could have done this. Now is the time for peace!” Trump posted on Truth Social. In a national address, he added, “Iran’s main enrichment facilities were completely destroyed.”

However, Iran disputed the success. A senior official claimed enriched uranium at Fordow had been moved before the strikes. Satellite images taken two days earlier showed a convoy near Fordow, suggesting Tehran may have anticipated the attack.

While the U.S. asserts the strike severely damaged Iran’s program, the extent of preserved material remains uncertain. Iran has not detailed the impact but vowed to retaliate at its chosen time. The strike raises fears of further conflict amid soaring regional tensions.
