2023: INEC tells voters what to do

The Independent National Electoral Commission has stated that the lists of registered voters in Jigawa state, are going to be displayed in all the electoral wards for people to check their names and pictures from November 12 to 25, 2022.

This was disclosed Tuesday by the newly posted Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in charge of Jigawa state, Professor Muhammad Lawal Bashar, while briefing reporters in Dutse.

The REC called on the media to sensitise and educate the communities to come out en masse and check their names and pictures on the list to notify INEC in case of any mistake.

According to him, INEC is taken this action in order to make the impact of its felt across the registered voters in the state.

He further explained that INEC has also made arrangement on how to make people with disability, the blind in particular, on how to check their names and cast their voters during the elections.
