53 bags of human remains found buried after dog spotted carrying human hand in its mouth

A gruesome discovery of 53 bin bags of human remains was found after a dog was seen walking a round with a severed human hand in its mouth.

The gory moment happened in Irapuato, Guanajuato, Mexico.

The dog was followed by Bibian Mendoza, who uncovered a huge mass grave full of body parts in bin bags – and it all took place during an international arts festival.

Mendoza, the founder of a women’s collective searching for missing persons, said: “While people from all over the world were celebrating the Cervantino festival (an international arts festival in the area), we were digging up bodies, and at the same time I thought it was useless because they were burying more people elsewhere.

The festival, and the grim find, took place in October, and the remains have been exhumed and analysed – it is not yet known how many of those have been identified, but it is thought that the experts are working with police to do so.
