A truck carrying troops hit a civilian vehicle in the Donetsk People’s Republic, media say
Fifteen people were killed in the Russian frontline region of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) on Wednesday, after a truck moving troops collided with a minivan, TASS reported citing a local source. At least four survivors have been hospitalized, according to health officials.
The incident reportedly happened on a road connecting the neighboring cities of Torez and Shakhtyorsk, which are located some 50km east of the provincial capital Donetsk.
A local source initially told the agency that 16 people had been killed and three people were injured in the incident. A source working with rescue services later updated the death toll to 15, while health officials reported a larger number of survivors, TASS said.
