Eight people were taken to hospital and four remain in critical condition following chaos at O2 Academy in London.
Police cancelled Nigerian singer Asake’s concert at the O2 Academy in Brixton on Thursday (December 15) as hundreds of revellers reportedly tried to force their way into the venue.
An announcement was made on stage at the venue and was met with uproar after cops shut down the concert.
“Eight people were taken by ambulance to hospital, four of whom remain in a critical condition. LAS (London Ambulance Service) treated two other less seriously injured people at the scene”, said Met Police.
Lambeth Police added: “Emergency services attended the O2 Academy in Brixton following reports that a number of people had been injured after a large crowd attempted to enter without tickets.
