Manchester United right-back Diogo Dalot has revealed what David de Gea told him after his blunder in 3-1 win over Everton in the FA Cup on Friday.
According to Dalot, De Gea said he did not expect the ball to go through his legs when it was played in by Everton player
The defender also took the blame for the blunder even though the goal did not cost the Red Devils a spot in the next round of the FA Cup.
De Gea had allowed the ball to go through his legs which led to the Toffees’ equalizer in the first half.
Manchester United, however, came back, to win the game 3-1 and sealed a place in the fourth round.
“I spoke to David [de Gea] at half-time, and he didn’t expect the ball to go between his legs.
“I’ll take the blame. I could have reacted a little faster.”
