President Joe Biden responded Thursday to classified documents from his time as vice president found in his home in Delaware by saying they were in a locked garage next to his Corvette.
Richard Sauber, special counsel to the president, said in a statement that “all but one of these documents were found in storage space in the President’s Wilmington residence garage.”
Sauber added that the other document found was “discovered among stored materials in an adjacent room.”
Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy pressed Biden over the matter during a press conference on Thursday.
“Classified material next to your Corvette?” Doocy asked. “What were you thinking?”
“Let me, I’m going to get a chance to speak on all this, God willing soon, but as I said earlier this week, people and, by the way my Corvette’s in a locked garage, OK?” Biden responded. “So it’s not like they’re sitting out in the street.”
