The dad of two children allegedly murdered by their mum had just popped out to pick up some take-away at the time of the killing, a family friend says.
Mum-of-three Lindsay Clancy has been accused of strangling two of her children, aged just three and five, to death before trying to take her own life by jumping out of a top floor window.
Husband Patrick returned home at around 6pm on Tuesday January 24 from picking up a take-out order to find his wife in the garden and his children unconscious, a friend has claimed.
Clancy and her seven-month old baby both survived the alleged attempted murder-suicide and were rushed to hospital.
