The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), praised Mrs Olubisi Osinbajo, mother of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, who turns 90 on Thursday.
In a letter he personally signed on Wednesday, Buhari thanked the celebrant for giving the country an “illustrious offspring” like the Vice President, and his other siblings.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, disclosed this in a statement titled ‘President Buhari celebrates Mama Olubisi Osinbajo at 90.’
Born on February 16 1933, Mrs Osinbajo served as a teacher at the girls’ college in Sagamu in the early 1950s.
Married in 1954, she is the mother of five children namely Femi Osinbajo, (born July 29, 1955), Yemi Osinbajo (born March 8, 1957) Akin Osinbajo (born 1960) and Tunde Osinbajo (born 1962) and Tolu Osinbajo (born 1970).
Buhari’s birthday message to her read “It gives me immense pleasure to felicitate with our dear Mama Olubisi Osinbajo, as she turns 90, entering the rare ranks of a nonagenarian.
