Voters in Dutse Alhaji, a satellite town in Abuja, trooped out early to their units on Saturday morning in preparation for the presidential and National Assembly elections.
DAILY POST reports that officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, reported early in the Polling Units in Dutse as scores of voters were already gathered with some security personnel observing.
At the Polling Unit (PU) in Dutse Alhaji I&II, Dutse Primary School, Ward Dutse Alhaji, in Bwari Local Government Area, hundreds of voters were seen at 8:30 a.m.
Some of the voters who spoke to DAILY POST expressed hope in the electoral system while calling on Nigerians to conduct themselves peacefully.
DAILY POST observed that the electoral process were going smoothly as of the time of filing this report as voters have already started voting for their preferred candidate.
