The Duke of York’s ex-wife Sarah Ferguson and Prince Harry have both released books in 2023
Prince Andrew is considering launching bombshell memoir after falling out with his brother, it has been claimed.
The Duke of York is thought to be unhappy with the King over not receiving an inheritance from their mother the Queen and not having a prominent role in the upcoming Coronation in May 2023.
A tell-all memoir could be a lucrative solution to Andrew’s reported problem of not being able to afford his Royal Lodge after Charles slashed a pivotal grant he was receiving.
A friend of Andrew said: “He has done everything he has been asked to do.
“He settled the lawsuit, he kept a low profile, he hasn’t complained.
“His mother always valued his loyalty. She would be aghast at his allowance being reduced. He may have to write a memoir.”
When pushed on whether writing a memoir was a serious prospect for the Duke of York, the source added: “It’s being talked about regularly.
“Sarah has had real success with her books and has great publishing contacts.
“Harry’s book has proved that there is no shortage of appetite for stories about the royal family.
“Why shouldn’t Andrew tell his side of the story now his mother is gone?”
Last month it was reported Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson had been left “distraught” as King Charles slashed a pivotal grant that helped his brother upkeep his mansion.
A source said: “It feels as though his brother wishes to evict him.”
