Former Kaduna governor heads Kogi PDP guber primary electoral committee

Ahead of Kogi State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primary scheduled for Sunday, April 16th, the former Kaduna state governor, Ahmed Makarfi is appointed to chair the electoral committee.

Kogi is among of the states scheduled by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to hold its governorship election on November 11, 2023.

Other states billed to hold their governorship elections are Bayelsa and Imo.

The PDP, in a statement by its National Organizing Secretary, Hon. Umar M. Bature, mandated the seven-member committee to carry out its assignment in compliance with the PDP Constitution.

The statement reads: “The National Working Committee (NWC) of our great Party, the Peoples Democratic Party, has approved the nomination of the following stakeholders to serve on the KOGI STATE GUBERNATORIAL PRIMARY ELECTORAL COMMITTEE to conduct the Primary Election for the purpose of nominating the candidate of our great Party for the upcoming 2023 Gubernatorial Election in the State.

“The exercise is scheduled for SUNDAY, APRIL 16, 2023 at the State Capital, Lokoja.”
