INEC announces Fintiri winner of Adamawa Governorship election

INDEPENDENT 

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has won re-election in Adamawa State with 430,869 votes to beat his closest rival, Senator Aishatu Dahiru (a.k.a. Binani) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who polled 398,788 votes.

According to the Returning Officer, in the supplementary election, which took place last Saturday, APC got 6,513 votes, while PDP had PDP 9,337.
