Giving Senate Presidency to South East or South South will be APC’s worst mistake, says Adamu Garba

A member of the All Progressives Congress APC, Adamu Garba, has warned the party against zoning the Senate Presidency to the South East or South South region of the country.

Writing on his social media handle, the former presidential aspirant noted that doing so would be the worst mistake of the ruling party.

Mr Garba added that any attempt by the party not to give the Senate Presidency to the Northwest region will definitely hurt the party as no external alliance will help it to keep its Northern stronghold.

Mr Garba said: “The biggest political mistake and miscalculation we will do as a party, the APC, is to not take Senate Presidency position, Nigeria’s number 3 to the North West. That will definitely hurt our 2027 strategy.

“There is no any external alliances that will help us keep our northern stronghold in the basket than strengthening our exiting internal value networks with the position of the Senate President of the 10th Sssembly.
