Ron DeSantis is set to announce his run for president tomorrow night on Twitter in a conversation with Elon Musk after months of speculation.
Sources confirmed to DailyMail.com that the Florida Governor will hold a Twitter Spaces with the social media giant’s CEO on Wednesday at 6pm to confirm he is entering the race to set up a showdown with Donald Trump.
At 44 he is one of the younger candidates to launch a bid for the Oval Office and is more than three decades younger than his main rivals President Joe Biden and former Trump.
The long-anticipated start of the Republican’s White House campaign will be moderated by David Sacks, a tech entrepreneur who is close to Musk.
Father-of-three DeSantis’ campaign will then release a campaign video, and he is then expected to start touring states early in the primary process after Memorial Day.
