The chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) in Ondo State, Adeyemi Omosehin, says that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari has performed creditably well in the basic healthcare system.
“In some areas, they have done well. Of course, the basic healthcare provision fund released by the administration has touched the basic healthcare facilities positively,” Mr Omosehin said in an interview on Saturday in Akure.
He said the initiative had improved healthcare service delivery in the state.
Mr Omosehin, however, said that the administration could not meet many expectations from stakeholders in the sector.
The NMA chairman stated that he could not blame the administration for many shortcomings in the sector because there were challenges that the previous administrations could not attend to appropriately before the outgoing administration was inaugurated.
