Arsenal are on the verge of signing Kai Havertz from Chelsea as Bayern Munich’s late approach appears to have failed, according to reports in Germany.
The Gunners have already agreed personal terms with the Germany international and remain in negotiations with Chelsea over a transfer fee.
It’s understood that Arsenal’s opening offer for Havertz has been rejected by Chelsea, who are holding out for a £70 million fee for the 24-year-old.
Meanwhile, Sky Germany report that Bayern Munich approached Havertz this week to express their interest, but the Bundesliga champions were informed that Arsenal are much further ahead in their progress to complete a deal.
