Ribadu assumes office as NSA, reflects on burden of public service

The National Security Adviser, NSA, Nuhu Ribadu, says he reminisces on the burden he carries in the pursuit of public service, as he formally takes over from Maj Gen Monguno.

The former Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Chairman said he’s grateful for the rare privilege to serve this great nation again.

DAILY POST reports Ribadu formally assumed his position as the new NSA on Monday.

He was appointed last week by President Bola Tinubu following an earlier appointment as the Special Adviser on Security before his current position.

In a statement via his Twitter handle on Monday, following his installation, Ribadu said he decided to wear priceless gifts, babbar riga and shoes, from those who’ve shaped his life in order to underscore the weight of his assignment.

He wrote, “As I assume office today, I reminisce on the burden we carry in the pursuit of public service. To underscore the weight of the moment, I decided to wear priceless gifts from those who’ve shaped my life:
