Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, on Monday, met with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting came immediately after the Senate dissolved into an executive session, following a rowdy session over the screening of a ministerial nominee, Festus Keyamo.
Although THEWILL cannot immediately confirm the agenda of the meeting. It may, however, not be unconnected to the uproar which erupted on Monday afternoon, on the floor of the Senate over Keyamo’s Ministerial Screening.
THEWILL reports that the Senator representing Abia Central Senatorial District, Darlington Nwokocha, had moved a motion for the suspension of Keyamo’s ministerial screening.
Nwokocha, who accused Keyamo of disrespecting and accusing the 9th National Assembly of corruption, said Keyamo ignored an invitation to explain a Special Public Works programme as minister of State for Labour and Employment in the administration of ex-President Muhammadu Buhari.
