The coalition of civil society organisation and political parties for good governance has offered an insight as to why President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would not respond to the demands by the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr Peter Obi, to clear the air on his bio-data and academic credentials.

The group led by Dr Ogbole Ene Lilian at a press conference in Abuja blamed the way and manner Peter Obi raised the issue as reasons for the president’s action.

Insisting that the world is already at peace with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s credentials, the group accused the duo of Peter Obi and the presidential candidate of the opposition peoples democratic party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar, of throwing caution to the wind on the matter to score political goals.

The group accused Atiku Abubakar of deliberately dragging the image of Nigeria, and that of the coveted office of the Vice President, which he once occupied in the mud.

They called on President Tinubu to strip Atiku of his award of the grand commander of the order of the Niger for allegedly desecrating the office of the President.

The group applauded the president for the level of maturity, decorum, and sportsmanship he has exhibited thus far by way of ignoring those distractions.

“The way and manner you go about making your request is very important, the way and manner these questions are being asked is enough to traumatize people. It is enough to throw people off balance,” she noted.

“The president has said look there is time for everything just like when there was alot of clamour for him to appear for media chat and the rest of them and then he was holding back.

“The day he came out what happened? Nigerians were amazed. It was like why were they hiding him from us. He is a man of decorum and high intelligence. He is an experienced man that has seen it all. He knows when to say what and when not to say what.

“At least it is still within his fundamental to answer questions when he wants to answer questions particularly when those questions are thrown to him. There would be a time he would do that. Already, his foot soldiers are already making it known to everybody.

“At My rate what else do you want to hear when the institution involved has come out to say look this man came to our school and even mad their phone lines open for everyone in the world to make inquiry. The school itself swore and said this man came to our school and obtained the certificate.
