Depression is a severe mental health condition that can have a devastating impact on a person’s life. In Nigeria, depression rates are estimated to be around 4%, which is higher than the global average. According to the World Health Organization in a recent publication, the depression rate in Nigeria currently stands at 3.9 per cent, which shows that Nigeria has 7,079,815 sufferers of depression, which is 3.9 per cent of the country’s population.
