OGC Nice manager, Francesco Farioli has offered an update on the injured forward, Terem Moffi ahead of his side’s Ligue 1 clash with FC Lens.
Moffi missed Les Aiglons 3-1 defeat to Le Havre last weekend due to injury.
There were speculations the striker has picked up a hamstring injury in training and could miss the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Farioli has, however, debunked the reports, revealing that the injury picked up by the Nigeria international is a minor one.
“We will try to get him. Today he will train with the team; we will see how he reacts.
“We hope to get him back but we won’t take any unnecessary risks. If the player feels like it, he will be in the game, otherwise, we will do without,” the 34-year-old gaffer told the club’s official website.
Moffi has scored four times in 15 league outings for Nice this season.
The 22-year-old is in Nigeria’s provisional squad for the 2023 AFCON.
