The name of Hillary Clinton, the former US secretary of state, has surfaced in the newly released court documents related to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Clinton is only mentioned once in a 2016 document submitted by Maxwell’s lawyers, in relation to Giuffre’s request for “all communications with thirteen specific witnesses.” She is not mentioned anywhere else in the documents that have been disclosed so far.
The mention of Clinton’s name does not imply any wrongdoing by the former secretary of state or by anyone else listed.
VIA YAHOO NEWS:
A third batch of Jeffrey Epstein‘s documents have been released, and former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been named.
This comes just a day after the first batch of docs was released, which named former President Bill Clinton.
These new documents are part of a 2015 defamation lawsuit between Virginia Giuffre, who was an alleged victim of the sex trafficking ring of Jeffrey Epstein, and Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s confidant.
Per the newly released documents, Hillary Clinton was one of those named in a group of people whose names were searched in Maxwell’s phone and emails.
The Clinton Family Named In Jeffrey Epstein Documents
It’s unclear if anything was returned from the search with the former first lady’s name attached.
As we reported, the second batch of unsealed documents states that attorneys for Ghislaine Maxwell suggest that a reporter for a British tabloid helped Virginia Giuffre “sensationalize stories” about her alleged sexual encounters while on the island.
“In that role, she helped manufacture some of the stories that have been denied and that are the central issues in this case,” Maxwell’s attorney stated per the recent docs. “She was actively and personally involved in changing those stories over time and in the creation and addition of new salacious details about public figures.”
This batch of documents, which names Hillary Clinton, is not the first to name a member of the Clinton Family. In the first batch of documents, Giuffre alleged that she “spent time with President Clinton on the island of Little St. James, US Virgin Islands,” and flew with him on a helicopter once.
“On one occasion, she adds, Epstein did invite two young brunettes to dinner which he gave on his Caribbean island for Mr. Clinton shortly after he left office. But as far as she knows, the ex-president did not take the bait,” the documents claimed.
Giuffre also claims she had dinner with the former President where he was handed two brunettes. “We all dined together that night. Jeffrey was at the head of the table. Bill was at his left. I sat across from him…at the left of Ghislaine there were two olive-skinned brunettes who’d flown in with us from New York. I’d never met them before. I’d say they were no older than 17, very innocent-looking,” the docs state.
She added, “Maybe Jeffrey thought they would entertain Bill, but I saw no evidence that he was interested in them. He and Jeffrey and Ghislaine seemed to have a very good relationship. Bill was very funny. He made me laugh a few times. And he and Jeffrey and Ghislaine told blokey jokes and the brunettes listened politely and giggled.”
Secret Service Denies Bill Clinton’s Involvement
However, Former FBI Director Louis Freeh denies Bill Clinton’s involvement, as the document states, “Further, if any Secret Service agents had accompanied Clinton to that location, ‘they would have been required to make and file shift logs, travel vouchers, and related documentation relating to the visit,’ and there was a ‘total absence’ of any such documentation.”
In total, more than 150 names associated with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein were revealed in the documents released Wednesday, which were part of a settlement between alleged victim Virginia Giuffre and Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell.
Some of the names listed in the documents include Prince Andrew, former President Bill Clinton, and law professor Alan Dershowitz.
