He emphasized the importance of reorienting the farming population, including initiatives to bolster the livestock sector. President Tinubu envisioned a Nigeria where effective dairy systems could sustainably provide daily milk to schoolchildren, thereby enhancing food security and nutrition.
Acknowledging the economic repercussions of livestock encroachment on farmlands, President Tinubu proposed a multifaceted approach that involves reorienting herders while simultaneously creating designated grazing areas. Furthermore, President Tinubu announced imminent initiatives such as a student loan scheme, social security programs for the elderly and vulnerable, and other interventions aimed at ameliorating the plight of Nigerians facing food insecurity.
