Declassified docs show where will be wiped out first in looming nuke apocalypse

Shocking newly-declassified documents have revealed the place that would be wiped out first if a nuclear war started.

The files titled “General Nuclear War” had been kept secret by the US government, probably because they detail how the US capital of Washington DC would be obliterated.

The frightening disclosure – first revealed in The Mail on Sunday – states the city would get hit with a one megaton thermonuclear bomb in a devastating “surprise attack”.

Andrew Weber, former assistant secretary of defence for nuclear, chemical and biological defence programmes, said: “A ‘Bolt out of the Blue’ attack against DC is what everyone in DC fears most.”
