1. Tragedy struck in Rivers State on Friday night as a fuel-laden tanker ignited, engulfing four individuals and around 100 vehicles at the Eleme section of the East-West Road. The incident occurred when the tanker collided with another vehicle, triggering a fiery explosion that rapidly spread to other tankers and vehicles trapped in the traffic jam.

2. Ola Olukoyede, the executive chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has appointed Michael Nzekwe as his chief of staff, alongside zonal directors for each of the commission’s 14 zonal commands.

3. A fatal gas tanker explosion claimed one life on Saturday following an accident in the Ita Oshin area of Abeokuta North Local Government Area, Ogun State. The accident, which occurred around 4:16 pm, was confirmed by Florence Okpe, Chief Route Commander and Education Officer for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
