Hamisu Abdullahi, a suspected informant of the bandits operating in Borno State, has narrated how he and some of his colleagues monitor and reveal the movement of soldiers deployed to the state.
Abdullahi disclosed this in a clip that was posted by security analyst, Zagazola Makama, on Tuesday night on his X handle.
In the video, the informant, who spoke in the Hausa language without torture, said he is from Zamfara State and had been operating for a long time.
He revealed how he met wanted thieves in the state, identified as Husaini and Hassan, adding that when Hussaini called him recently, he told him about the movement of soldiers newly deployed to the Borno community.
He said, “We all know that Husaini and Hassan are thieves. They are one of the criminals that the government is looking for.
“He asked me if the government soldiers had come out, and I said yes. He asked me where they went, and I said they went to Gossun. From there, I don’t know where they went again.
“He asked me again if the soldiers had come. I said correct, they have come.”
When interrogated on the killing of a soldier identified as Almani Abdulhadi, Abdullahi said, “Yes, I told him that they are around. He called me. I told him they had gone towards Kwarsukai and Gussum.”
