A Swiss court sentenced four members of Britain’s wealthiest family, the Hindujas, to prison terms for the mistreatment of their domestic staff. Prakash and Kamal Hinduja, aged 78 and 75 respectively, received four and a half years, while their son Ajay and his wife Namrata got four years.
Despite reaching a settlement with the staff, the prosecution pursued the case due to the gravity of the allegations, which involved underpaying the staff and confiscating their passports.
