A group of terrorists suspected to be kidnappers has attacked the El-Rufai Estate in Bwari Area Council, Abuja, causing chaos in the Federal Capital Territory. The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, with the assailants invading the area and shooting sporadically.
According to eyewitnesses, a man identified as Nathaniel was shot by the gunmen during the attack. The attackers engaged operatives of the FCT Police Command in a fierce gun duel, which lasted for approximately 30 minutes.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the FCT command, Josephine Adeh, confirmed the incident to our correspondent, stating that the kidnappers attempted to abduct several residents before the Police operatives foiled their operation.
The attack on the El-Rufai Estate is the latest in a series of security incidents in the Federal Capital Territory, leaving residents on high alert. The FCT Police Command has assured the public that they are working to ensure the safety and security of all residents in the area.
