Former Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg has been released from jail for the second time in just over a year, after serving 100 days of his five-month sentence for perjury.
Weisselberg pleaded guilty to two felony counts of perjury and was sentenced to five months in jail, with the possibility of early release for good behavior. He was released after 100 days, having demonstrated good behavior.
Weisselberg was found liable for fraud and ordered to pay $1 million plus interest in a civil trial related to the Trump Organization’s inflation of property valuations. He acknowledged receiving $2 million in severance after leaving the company.
Weisselberg’s case is linked to the Trump Organization, with former President Donald Trump and other executives also found liable for fraud. Trump was ordered to pay over $450 million in damages, while Weisselberg’s perjury charges stem from his testimony in the civil trial.
