Amidst mounting criticism from various quarters, President Bola Tinubu has been urged to stay the course on his recently introduced tariff suspension policy.
APC chieftain, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, backed the president’s move, stating that the tariff suspension, while not a permanent solution to the food crisis, was a “bold step” in cushioning the impact of the food crisis on the masses.
Oyintiloye asserted that President Tinubu’s actions demonstrated a commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda, despite the challenges of the global economic crisis and the administration’s own unavoidable policies.
