Ekiti assembly holds special residents engagement plenary

The Ekiti State government has emphasized the importance of engaging the grassroots to deliver good governance to the people.

The Director General of the Ekiti State Bureau of Community Communications, Mrs. Mary Osho-Omotoso, highlighted this to stakeholders during a presentation of reports on community needs conducted by an NGO at the Ekiti State House of Assembly.

She noted that this engagement was made possible through the governor’s commitment to grassroots development and inclusive governance for all Ekiti residents.

She explained that the report will assist the government in planning and delivering effective governance.

The Speaker, Adeoye Aribasoye, informed the gathering about the 7th Assembly’s efforts to improve the lives of Ekiti residents.

He noted that this special session was necessary to seek stakeholders’ opinions in policy formulation, drawing on research conducted by non-governmental entities.
