According to Onanuga, China’s Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chen Xiaodong, delivered the invitation to President Tinubu at the Aso Villa on Thursday, accompanied by a large entourage. President Xi has also expressed his desire to welcome Nigeria’s First Lady, Remi Tinubu, during the visit.
President Tinubu has already accepted the invitation, with hopes that the visit will not only bolster Nigeria-China relations but also facilitate discussions on the proposed currency swap agreement between the two countries. This development comes as both nations seek to deepen their diplomatic and economic ties in the years ahead.
