The Director of Interpol, financial crimes and anti- corruption center Isaac Oginni says in January 2025, interpol will launch a new alert system.
The alert system known as the sliver alert will be the first alert created by Interpol in 20 years.
The sliver alert enables the tracing and recovery of stolen funds.
He made this statement at the 1st workshop organized by Interpol and Japan International cooperation Agency for Law Enforcement agencies in Nigeria.
The Nigerian government is also working with the Japanese authorities to create face recognition systems in Airports, borders and seaports in Nigeria.
