No protests recorded in Lekki Phase 1 amid nationwide #EndBadGovernance movement

As socio-economic activities gradually resume in Lagos, residents in the Lekki area are urging for public awareness on the importance of peaceful protests and strategic actions to achieve their goals.

NAN reports that Lekki Phase 1 and other parts of Lagos have remained peaceful as the nationwide #EndBadGovernance protest continues.

No protests were recorded in the Lekki Phase 1 area on Thursday or by the time of this report on Friday.

NAN reports that the ongoing protest, which began on Thursday, is scheduled to last for 10 days to draw the Federal Government’s attention to the economic hardships facing Nigerians.

Some residents, who spoke to NAN, praised security agents for maintaining peace in the area.

One resident, Mr. George Ikenna, mentioned that the residents’ association had implemented extra security measures.
